You know Klein Editions for our art production, but you might not know we also run our own curated site celebrating our great city of Manchester - Manchester Art Prints (MAP).
Launched back in early 2017 as a collaboration with some of our local clients, it's a handpicked collection of Manchester-themed work, giving the artists another platform for reaching new collectors, whilst we handle all the fulfilment here at Klein. MAP is coming up on a decade next year, with a proper anniversary planned for spring 2027.
Over the years it has grown well beyond individual collectors. We've supplied businesses furnishing offices, corporate gift orders, and public spaces. We're proud to say that last month, Escape Lounges chose eight pieces from five of our artists to furnish their brand new lounge at Manchester Airport Terminal 3.
The artists
Andrew Martin's Manchester cityscape weaves the city's landmarks together with a swarm of its worker bees - the same bee that appears on the Manchester Art Prints logo itself.
Michael Wylie's hand-drawn illustrations bring together Manchester's landmarks, music and culture in dense, typographic detail - the kind of piece that rewards a closer look.
Louise Potter's minimalist studies capture some of Manchester's most distinctive buildings, including the Hollings Building - completed in 1950 and known locally as the Toast Rack - alongside Manchester Town Hall and Salford Lads Club, made famous by The Smiths' "The Queen Is Dead".
Frederick John's "This is Manchester" takes its colourway and bold graphic style from the Haçienda - an unmistakable, confident piece that holds its own in a busy space.
Lucy Burgess's illustrated tribute to Victoria Baths captures the building's stained glass, tilework and history in a playful, colourful style.
From original artwork to finished installation
Every piece was carefully selected to represent the spirit and iconic culture of Manchester, printed and framed by us here in the city. We love sending our prints to public spaces where the work can be enjoyed by so many visitors.
